Recruiting, appraising and development of staff
It is important to monitor new recruits during the early stages of their employment, to assess whether they are right for the job and that the Company is right for them. Not only during this period but throughout their employment you need to regularly appraise their performance, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and agree actions to develop their skills for their current job or future roles.
If there are capability or conduct issues these need to be addressed at an early stage, using the appropriate procedures.
